Do you have a love for cheese and an appetite for something new? Then why not try making your own goat cheese with herby garlic confit? Not only is it simple to prepare, but the combination of flavors in this extra creamy recipe are sure to make any dinner or appetizer special. Ingredients
- 5 oz goat cheese

1 cup olive oil
- 10 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp thyme, dried
- 1 tsp rosemary, dried
- 1 bay leaf, dried
- 1 tsp oregano, dried
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Arrange the garlic with the thyme, rosemary, oregano and the bay leaf in a baking dish and drizzle with 2 tbs of olive oil. Cover with bay leaf and bake for 30 minutes until the garlic is tender inside.
Transfer in a jar and cover with the remaining olive oil.
Crumble the goat cheese in a bowl and top with 3-4 tbs. of the infused olive oil. Optionally, mush and add a garlic clove or two the cheese and mix well. Serve at room temperature.
Preserve the remaining infused olive oil in an air tight jar for up to 10 days.
